Phil Waronawits. Father of the family. Owner of Steady Pace Farms. Married to Katherine Waronawits. Has 2 sons: James and Leroy. After having a heart attack, he calls his sons (both single) back to the farm to help him until he recovers. Pop is steady, humble, and wise.
Katherine Waronawits. Mother of the family. Married to Phil Waronawits. Mom is gracious, loving, and strong. She will always tell you the truth, even though it would hurt. There is nothing she wouldn't do for her family.
Oldest son of Phil and Katherine Waronawits. He is diligent, hard working, and devoted to his parents and the ongoing success of their family farm. James has many of the qualities of the wise man from Proverbs.
Youngest son of Phil and Katherine Waronawits. Leroy is "allergic to work." He speaks in the third person, has a demeaning name about everyone he meets, and is the personification of the fool from Proverbs.
Petey is Leroy's best friend, and tries, in his own way, to be a voice of reason to Leroy.
Zoobie is one of Leroy's closest, bar-fly friends. Zoobie loves all things food, and has been known to help Leroy out in a pinch (even though he knows better).
The bane of Leroy's existence. According to Leroy, Samantha Axeford is that "cranky lady whose sole mission in life is to make Leroy angry!"
Clerk at the local store whom Leroy has his eye on. Shelby is married, and Leroy always seems to say the wrong thing at the wrong time with her husband around.
To Leroy, this guy is just a muscle-bound nuisance getting in the way of Leroy's dreams. Leroy also secretly wants to be like him.
Leroy's Beer Guy. Since he supplies Leroy with his beverage of choice, Leroy tends to listen to his advice (as long as it matches what he wants to hear).
Leroy's "favorite" police officer. Officer Ralph is quite familiar with Leroy and his shenanigans. Even though he's taken Leroy in too many times to count, he still tries to impart some kind of wisdom to him.
Larry is the owner of Ryder Gas, a convenient store and gas station that Leroy likes to go to often. Larry shows Leroy incredible mercy time and time again.
"The Twin Terrors." Besides Officer Ralph, Leroy has had quite a few run-ins with these cops. They are consistently baffled by Leroy's foolishness.
Yet another person whom Leroy just can't seem to get along with. Spike plays by his own rules and decides for himself what is right and wrong.
Sweet older couple at Pop's Church, New Life Baptist Church. Fred and Lynnette consistently pray for Leroy to turn from his foolishness and accept what Jesus did for him.
Beloved reporter for News Channel 11. Clark desires to share the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Muscle-bound neighbor of Phil and Katherine Waronawits. Admires the honesty and integrity of the Waronawits family (minus Leroy).
Mayor of Ravenport. Has a soft spot for causes (like Steady Pace Farms) that help the city. Mayor Woodland is jovial, friendly, and is a good leader in his own right.
Cranky old man who is not afraid of letting you know exactly what he is thinking at any given time. He and Leroy are like oil and water.
Another neighbor of Phil and Katherine Waronawits. Does not like when Leroy sneaks onto his property and steals his stuff (unfortunately, it's a common occurrence).

My desire is to make one comic strip for every verse in Proverbs (so 915 total!). But I can't do this alone. Consider partnering with me to see this goal reached!
